Loveable Rogue: He's an outlaw, but nothing makes him really hateful. Lovable Coward: He cowers under a stone altar in the opening fight and tends to avoid fighting whenever he can, but he's pretty friendly. The Load: He's mostly an useless goofball, except when he remembers that his "brother's sister's cousin" told him there's a secret passage to enter the palace, which proves to be true. And it proves to be true (exactly why his "brother's sister" wasn't also his sister is something he doesn't explain). Knows a Guy Who Knows a Guy: His "brother's sister's cousin" told him about a cave behind the waterfalls of Shadizar with a Secret Underground Passage leading directly to the palace. In the Back: His favourite tactic when it comes to a fight. Devious Daggers: Malak is Conan's thief sidekick and lancer is skilled with knives, able to both throw them accurately and cleanly slit a man's throat from behind. There's also the fact that Conan isn't known to suffer fools, so if he was Conan's traveling companion, he probably has skills that make him valuable. Not only does he seem to know exactly where to backstab someone to cause a lot of damage, he also demonstrates a great degree of accuracy with thrown daggers. Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: While his role as comic relief tends to undercut his abilities, there are hints that he's fairly competent at his job as a thief, and resourceful in a fight. Bumbling Sidekick: A pretty goofy and cowardly sidekick, to say the least. Opponents on the receiving end of his knives learned this the hard way. Beware the Silly Ones: Malak might be a shrimp and a coward, but don't turn your back on him. Amazon Chaser: In one scene, Malak attempts to seduce Zula and backs off when she threatens to split his head open. Weapon of Choice: The Atlantean sword, naturally.Ī thief who became Conan's companion at one point. Conan the destroyer cast 1982 movie#
Walking Shirtless Scene: Conan is seen shirtless for a large chunk of the movie this time. Throwing Your Sword Always Works: When confronting Toth Amon, he throws his sword into a mirror, which happens to be the right one, and the thrown sword impales the magician. Talk to the Fist: "ENOUGH TALK!" Followed by.
Rated M for Manly: What with Arnold Schwarzenegger in his still-working-out-like-hell prime, kicking ass left and right and lifting heavy stuff, with plenty of shirtless scenes.Fanservice: The fact that Conan spends most of the film clad in only a loincloth means that there's no shortage of beefcake for female fans. Men Don't Cry: He doesn't cry at all when praying for Valeria.Master Swordsman: His proficiency with a sword is still unmatched. And while he is acclaimed by the population of Shadizar, a rich man hides his jewels out of sight. Loveable Rogue: He is implied to have stolen things with Malak before Taramis came to them. The Leader: He leads the party Queen Taramis sends to retrieve the Horn of Dagoth.Never one to turn down a challenge, Arnie happily accepted. Heroic Build: For this film, the producers asked Arnie if he could get even more muscular than he was in the first movie.Heroes Prefer Swords: He still wields the Atlantean Sword that he obtained in the first film.Heartbroken Badass: In the opening, he is seen praying for Valeria, who died in the first film.
Famed in Story: At this point, everyone knows who Conan is, presumably from offing Thulsa Doom.Cool Crown: The Aquilonian crown at the end, once again.Charles Atlas Superpower: He's strong enough to lift a stone door no one would even budge.Boisterous Bruiser: He is definitely less sullen and stoic here than he was in the first film. The Big Guy: He's easily the strongest member of the party.
Barbarian Hero: Although he's still a Barbarian outlaw, he has a good enough reputation to be acclaimed by the people of Shadizar when arriving there, and ultimately saves Jehnna and the whole city selflessly. Barbarian Longhair: He's a Cimmerian, and still keeps his hair long. Amazon Chaser: He tells Jehnna how he is attracted to female warriors and compares Valeria's force to Zula's. Adaptation Dye-Job: In keeping with the first film, Arnold Schwarzenegger still has dark brown hair instead of the plain black that the novels/comics Conan had.
Queen Taramis hires him to lead a quest to find a powerful artifact to awaken a god, promising him to resurrect his beloved Valeria.
